Internet of Things has seen a great evolvement since now. Since IoT was born in 1999, it has come through along. It was not even known to people since 2013, but then people started getting to know the terms after 2013. The concept was first introduced in the Coca-Cola machine, making it easy for people to know whether the drink is cold or not before going for a trip.

Well, it’s just a glimpse of how the concept of IoT was used before. Nevertheless, now it has seen a huge change with the overcoming years. Internet of Things is used to communicate with people and things too, which is nothing but the smart home. Although, before going into the deep, let’s first have an idea of what is IoT.

What Is the Internet of Things?

Coming onto the fact, there is no official definition of the Internet of Things on Google yet. But to make you understand it, IoT is nothing but a concept of connecting physical objects, i.e., things to sensors, software and many other technologies. These are used to share data, process it and use it accordingly using the Internet.

Kevin Ashton first developed the concept Internet of Things for one of his projects. However, it came into recognition after 14 years that means almost after a decade. The concept has initially used the machine to machine connectivity where the development reached the peak. Thankfully, now it is used in most of the houses and serving as the best. Internet of Things is yet to be seen with performing many wonders.

What Will The Future Internet Of Things Look Like?

With the present scenario of the Internet of Things, the concept has limitless potential that can do wonders in future. Without a doubt, with technology getting evolved every day, even we will benefit from IoT.

According to research by the tech company i.e. IDC predicts that by the year 2025, around 41.6 billion IoT devices or things will get connected. Humans couldn’t even imagine this number to get connected, though. Anyway, industries and automotive sectors could be seen in many IoT devices to get connected. However, with the increasing number of smart homes today, an increase in the smart home sector might soon be seen.

Meanwhile, another tech analyst Garner is out there, predicting that automotive and enterprise sectors will be seen again with 5.8 IoT devices connected. Also, coming onto the manufacturing sector for security purposes, the concept Internet of Things will be seen with a boom.

Above we just have seen a glimpse of analysts have predicted the future of the Internet of Things. Let’s get into it briefly:

 The Future of IoT in:

1. Industrial Sector:

Considering the industrial sector, IoT will be there to help you out. We have always seen that humans tend not to be that good and fast in calculating accurate data. Then who else can be? It’s IoT that is going to help you calculate the amount of data collected. Tracking simple things would become hectic for human power, but you should not worry about this in future.

Internet of Things will make your life simple by tracking things like- energy status, sensor malfunctions, production count, the average time of stagnation and many more. Artificial Intelligence will always help calculate these complex calculations in just a while, which human power could take years to solve.

There can be seen many accidents of employees in the workplace, especially in a country like India. But why does this happen? Due to issues in machines and lack of teammate training. But thanks to the Internet of Things which will find out the issue and notify you before any accidents happen.

2.Home Automation

Home automation is nothing but having access to all the smart devices of your house. It can be anything like lighting, temperature, door, kitchen, refrigerator and many more. That means you can sit on your couch and control all the devices on your own. So how does it feel to be boss of your own? Regardless of having control, home automation devices are much cost-effective as they have a longer life cycle when compared to normal devices. Smart devices don’t require the Internet to function; instead, they can also perform using wind and solar energy. As there are a lot of awareness programmes happening now, then what’s your contribution towards it? Simple if you have a smart home, then you are contributing a lot towards saving energy.

Getting onto the future of home automation systems will be numerous that cannot be imagined. Using the Internet before reaching home, users can check if there is space available in the parking lot or not. Meanwhile, you can also set lightings before entering your house. You just got up, and it’s your holiday today, but don’t want to get up from your bed? Simple, you can pull blinds from wherever you are sitting and sleep again and enjoy your weekend.

You are in your house, and it’s raining outside. Hey, you have a smart home. It will set the light accordingly, which would help you enjoy the weather better by playing your favourite song. You have to get up at midnight to go to the washroom, but then you worry for your safety, searching for the switchboard. Not anymore, as the automatic lightings are there to help you out. As there are sensors present in it, with the help of that, it will automatically switch on the lights. There are uncountable uses for home automation, and many uses of it will evolve in the future. No matter what improvements are going to happen in-terns of technology but in the end, it’s going to save resources.

The future of IoT is completely going to make you and your lifestyle smarter. Smarter the human power better their lifestyle is going to be using technology. Thanks to Kevin for introducing the concept of IoT to the world, and surely the future will be awesome and easy living with artificial intelligence.
